Welcome to my website. I am presenting my wildlife photographic art for sale on this website as fine-art prints. At the same time, if you are interested in stock photos or stock video footage of birds or mammals, be sure that if I’ve shown one photo here of a particular species, I have dozens, if not hundreds, of photos of the same species available in my files to stock photo buyers. Ditto for video footage.

I am an outdoor photographer specializing in hard-to-get wildlife shots. Today with digital SLRs becoming more and more affordable there are a lot of people taking snapshots of animals. Static shots of a bird or animal just setting there, and doing nothing special, are the norm and are easy for most photographers to get. I work at several levels above that. I use my knowledge of animals and fieldcraft and combine it with using the craft of photography to capture unique behaviors, postures and positions in my wildlife subjects. I like to create unique images that show something special about my subjects. I like to capture things that are only seen rarely or are only seen for a split second and are then gone. I like to capture fast moving action and wing positions that are not seen at all by the human eye, because this happens too fast for the eye to see. But with patience, perseverance, anticipation, timing and luck, this can be captured and frozen in time by my camera and high quality lenses. That is why one of my specialties is birds-in-flight photography. Birds-in-flight photography is my favorite because of the challenge of capturing fast moving birds in just the right pose and wing position, coupled with the challenge of achieving that with good lighting and pleasing backgrounds. It all has to come together in order for me to present my photographs here as fine art prints. I’ll reject hundreds of shots and chose only a select few that are good enough to be called wildlife art.
